Summer in southeast Iowa comes humid and generous, and turf answers by growing fast; staying ahead of it is half the craft. The other half is the finish: even height, no scalped ridges on the slopes Burlington hands out so freely. By the time the afternoon builds its thunderheads, the route is already done.
