About JC Landscape & Maintenance & Tree

Buffalo is a small river town on the Mississippi, with Buffalo Shores stretched out along the bank just downstream where the beach and boat ramp sit empty and iced over for most of the winter. JC Landscape & Maintenance & Tree clears driveways and walks close to the water, where humidity off the river keeps a coating of frost on the pavement long after inland yards nearer the highway have dried out under the sun. Late afternoon light here comes in low and gold off the water, catching the snow along the riverbank in a way that makes even a freshly plowed lot worth a second look. Working this close to the Mississippi means watching the river almost as much as the sky, since a rise in the water table after a thaw can leave low-lying yards soft and slick long after the snow itself is gone. It's careful, close-in work along a narrow strip of bank that holds only a few hundred people between the water and the bluff behind it.
