Spring Green

About Spring Green

April in Boone is a slow argument between frost and green, and then one warm week settles it and the whole town turns at once. Spring Green works that turning — lawn fertilization and weed control, turf treatments across the growing months, and mowing and seasonal lawn care as the yards come back. Iowa bluegrass answers attention the way a garden does, thickening where it is fed and crowding out whatever does not belong. There is a real satisfaction in watching a lawn go from patchy and gray to even and deep in a matter of weeks. By Memorial Day it looks as though it was never in doubt.
