Larrew's Lawn Care

About Larrew's Lawn Care

By late October the oaks and hickories around Boone have gone rust and butter yellow, and low sun lays long shadows over every lawn by four in the afternoon. Larrew's Lawn Care is out in it, taking the season's closing cuts and clearing leaves off the turf before they mat down and smother it. Fall work here is unglamorous and worth every hour — rake, blow, haul, repeat until the grass can breathe again. A yard put to bed clean in November comes back thicker in April, and that is the whole quiet bargain. The rest of the year it is mowing, trimming and edging, steady as the calendar.
