About Timberline Lawn & Garden Services

Farther up the Duck Creek Parkway from the park where the creek finally drops over its little waterfall, the trail runs past Middle Park and Veterans Memorial Park under a line of bare trees that stands out sharp against a clear winter sky — the kind of timberline the company took its name from, transplanted a long way from any mountain. Timberline Lawn & Garden Services works the streets that follow that stretch of the parkway, where snow off the wooded banks shades the pavement and keeps it slicker, longer, than the open blocks nearer the river. A driveway backed up against that tree line often needs clearing before the sun has any real chance to reach it. The crew moves along the parkway in the early hours, working the shaded stretches first and saving the open, sun-facing blocks for later in the morning once the light has had time to work. It's a small distinction — treed ground against open ground — but it's the difference between a walk still icy at nine o'clock and one that cleared itself an hour before.
