Pfitz's Fence & Deck

About Pfitz's Fence & Deck

Pfitz's Fence & Deck may be named for fences and decks, but when a winter storm swings through Bettendorf it answers with snow removal. Late at night the flakes slant sideways under the corner lamps, and by daybreak the steep drives in the city's hilly neighborhoods sit under a thick blanket. The crew digs them out — driveways, sidewalks, the steps climbing up from the curb — so nobody has to fight a snowed-in slope on the way to work. A cleared path on a hillside feels like a small rescue. Up here, getting out the door without a struggle is what a winter morning is all about.
