About Hillside Solutions

Belle Plaine carries a name that means, roughly, a beautiful plain — an apt description for a stretch of Benton County flat enough that a single set of headlights shows up a mile off on a clear winter night. Hillside Solutions clears driveways and sidewalks across that open ground before sunrise, working the grid of streets that runs parallel to the Union Pacific line still cutting through town. Wind out here has nothing to break it — no real hills, despite the company's own name — so it drives straight off the harvested fields and piles drift against garage doors that were clear the evening before. The trick on a plain this wide is reading where the wind will put the snow next, not just where it already fell. By the time the first freight rolls through at first light, the walk to the car is solid ground instead of packed powder, and the day in Belle Plaine can start on schedule.
