D&J's Complete Tree Service - Ankeny

About D&J's Complete Tree Service - Ankeny

Ankeny grew fast across the prairie ridge north of Des Moines, which means most of its trees are young and still deciding what shape to be. D&J's Complete Tree Service meets them at that stage — setting a single leader on a new maple, thinning a pear that wants to split, pruning boulevard limbs back above the sidewalk while the cuts are still small. The older blocks near Uptown carry the big canopies, and those ask for a slower hand and a look at the union of every heavy fork. Wind gets a long run at this town from the open ground out past the High Trestle, and after a line of summer storms the calls all sound alike: a limb on the roof, a trunk across the drive, brush everywhere. They clear it, load it and move on, and the street looks like a street again by supper.
