Ankeny Grass Guys

About Ankeny Grass Guys

Ride the High Trestle Trail out of Ankeny in July and you pass a hundred backyards running right up to the crushed limestone. Ankeny Grass Guys keep a lot of yards like those — weekly mowing, string trimming around posts and play sets, edges cut where turf meets walk. Midsummer here is humid and quick; grass climbs two inches in a warm week and asks for the blade again. So they come back on schedule, blades sharp, the lines laid the opposite way from last time so the turf stands up instead of lying over. The reward is a lawn that looks even from the porch and clean from the trail.
