About JJG Lawn Services

Anamosa belongs to October. Pumpkins climb the porch steps downtown, Pumpkinfest fills the streets, and the grass underneath all of it still has to look tended. JJG Lawn Services works that stretch of the calendar hard — the last mows before the ground goes dormant, trimming along walks and drives, leaves off the turf before they mat down and smother it. Earlier in the year the job is simpler and just as particular: cut, trim, edge, repeat. There is a plain pleasure in a yard raked clean on a cold blue afternoon with the mowing lines still showing. Anamosa and its neighboring Jones County towns keep the route full from first green to last leaf.
