Distinctive Landscapes

About Distinctive Landscapes

On summer evenings the Bandshell fills and half of Ames settles onto cut grass with the light going amber behind the trees. Distinctive Landscapes chases that same look on private ground — turf mowed to an even nap, trimming taken patiently around plantings, edges cut so lawn and bed each keep their own outline. Growth around here comes in surges, a soaking stretch followed by a hard dry week, and the discipline is adjusting the cut instead of forcing it. Cleanups handle the debris and the leaf fall at either end of the growing season. What's distinctive is mostly restraint: clean lines, nothing overdone, a yard that reads well from the street and better from the porch.
