About Kahuna Boys LLC

By December the rides at Adventureland go still and quiet at the edge of Altoona, a whole summer skyline of coasters standing over neighborhoods that look nothing like their July selves once the snow starts coming down. Kahuna Boys LLC works those residential streets in the amusement park's shadow, driveways and walks for families who spent the summer a mile from the noise and now just want a clear path to the car on a cold morning. There's something almost funny about plowing snow under a motionless roller coaster, the whole place holding its breath until spring. Getting a block of driveways done before that first commute out toward Des Moines starts is a quiet, satisfying way to begin a winter day.
