About Harney Lawn Care LLC

Altoona grew up around a rail crossing on the prairie, and the town still runs on straight lines — grid streets, section roads, fields squared off clear to the horizon. Harney Lawn Care follows the same instinct at midday, when the sun stands high and the mower deck throws a shadow no wider than itself: mow it straight, trim it tight, edge it until the walk has a hard border again. Summer out here is loud with cicadas and small engines, and there is nothing wrong with adding to that for an hour if the yard is squared away and quiet afterward. Fall brings the leaf work, the final cuts, the clearing that puts a lawn to bed. It is plain work, and it shows from the curb.
