About Cordes Excavating

Allison is the seat of Butler County, set in level north Iowa farm country where a winter storm can sweep across the fields with little warning. Cordes Excavating is in the business of moving heavy ground, and in winter that same muscle goes into moving snow, pushing back deep drifts and opening driveways and lots. Snow removal here is a matter of strength and timing, and both count when the wind keeps refilling whatever was just cleared. On a still morning after a blizzard, with the county courthouse muffled in white, a wide-open drive feels like a small victory over the season.
