Ground Zero Seeding

About Ground Zero Seeding

Spring in Algona shows up first in the soil — black, wet and steaming a little on the warm days, with the tile lines running full. Ground Zero Seeding starts the season on that thawed ground, clearing the winter mat off lawns and making the first cuts once the turf can carry a machine. Early mowing sets everything that comes after: an even height, edges brought back to a clean line, the beds and walks trimmed out of last year's overgrowth. From there it is a steady weekly rhythm through the long green middle of the year. Watching a flat, gray March yard turn into thick May grass never really loses its appeal.
