Smead's Tree Care

About Smead's Tree Care

The creek bottoms east of Albia hold frost long after the open fields have warmed under a weak winter sun, timber leaning in close enough over some driveways to keep a foot of snow shadowed and stubborn well past noon. Smead's Tree Care works those shaded lanes, the ones that need clearing again a day after the rest of town has already dried out. There's a particular kind of patience to it — knowing which driveways will refreeze by three o'clock and getting back out to salt them before they do. Getting a shaded drive to hold bare pavement through a whole cold snap is a small, steady kind of win.
