About Clean & Green Yard Services

On a Saturday in Waipahu the sound carries from Hans L'Orange Park — aluminum bats, a crowd, somebody's uncle on the loudspeaker — drifting over yards that Clean & Green Yard Services has already been through. They cut early, before the heat settles into the Ewa flats, then trim close around the mango trunk, the water meter, the chain-link. Grass on this side of the island never really stops; it only slows a little in the cool months, so the calendar matters more than the forecast does. Clippings go off the sidewalk and out of the gutter, not into the street. By the time the last inning ends, the lawns along the block are short, level and holding their edge.
