About GCLA Landscape Design

The old cannery buildings at Pauwela still hold their plantation lines, weathered boards and long roofs set against a hillside that will not stop growing. GCLA Landscape Design works the properties spread around them, keeping lawns mowed, edges cut, hedges shaped and the yard debris carried off before it can pile up. There is something satisfying about bringing structure to ground this fertile — a lawn given a clean perimeter, a hedge given a true top line, planting beds given back their outline. Midday sun on the north shore is generous and brief; a squall can cross in ten minutes and be gone. The work fits itself around that, and the yard keeps its shape either way.
