Isaiah's Tree Service

About Isaiah's Tree Service

Maluhia Road drops into Kōloa under a tunnel of eucalyptus, cool and green for a mile, and then the town opens into sun that hardly ever quits on this side of Kauaʻi. Isaiah's Tree Service works the old sugar-town streets and the yards down toward Poʻipū, where monkeypod throws shade across half a lot and coconut palms line the drives. Pruning keeps those canopies lifted and neat, cut so the tree's own shape leads the way. When one has to come out it is dismantled in pieces, because the space between a house and a lane here is measured in feet. And after a heavy blow off the ocean, the branches go, the yard is raked, and the shade goes back to being a pleasure.
