About Kaleo's Tree Services, Inc.

Winter nights on this coast, the north swell booms below the Kauapea bluff and the ironwood windbreaks lean hard and hold. Kaleo's Tree Services, Inc. works the properties up on that headland and back through Kīlauea town, where salt wind shapes a tree whether anyone prunes it or not. Trimming here is about handing the wind less to push against: crowns thinned, heavy limbs shortened, the canopy left even so it does not sail. Removals go section by section, especially where wet ground has undercut a trunk or a crotch has already split. The morning after a storm, the crew is out cutting the fallen wood, opening the lane and carrying the debris away.
