About Makamae Landscaping & Maintenance

North Kihei begins where the wetland does, stilts stepping through the shallows at Kealia while the sun is still low and the mountains behind are the color of ash. Makamae Landscaping & Maintenance works the neighborhoods just inland from there, mowing early, edging along drives, trimming the hedges that separate one lot from the next. Makamae means something precious, and that idea sits well over a small daily task done properly. Grass here comes and goes with the water, so the cut height is chosen for the season rather than out of habit. What lasts is the impression of a yard someone is looking after.
