About Amaral Tree Care & Agroforestry

Squalls cross Kapaʻa in ten minutes flat — the Sleeping Giant disappears, the coast path empties, and then the sun is back and every coconut frond is dripping. Amaral Tree Care & Agroforestry works this stretch of the Coconut Coast between the Wailua River and Kealia, where mango, monkeypod and palm all grow faster than anybody plans for. Pruning is placed with next season in mind, cuts made so new growth goes where it will do some good. Removal is careful business on these narrow lots, taken down in stages when a trunk has hollowed or a crown has crept out over a house. After a big blow, the crew hauls away what the wind left across driveways from Wailua up to Anahola.
