About Roots Landscaping

Everything on this mountain starts in a crack — a pocket of soil in old pāhoehoe, a seed, a rain that came through in the afternoon and did not stay long. Roots Landscaping works from the ground up in Kaiminani, mowing and edging the turf while keeping an eye on what is happening under it: where the grass thins over rock, where the bed has gone hard, where a shrub has outgrown its patch. The routine is mowing, trimming, weeding, shaping and cleanup, done in a place that will grow anything if you give it a little depth and some water. Trimming back to good structure is half the craft; the other half is hauling off what you cut so the yard looks lighter when you leave. It is slow, tactile work, and the results keep coming after the truck is gone.
