About Cambra Cutz

By mid-morning the water off Kanaha is stitched with kite sails, and the same wind that fills them is combing every lawn in Kahului flat. Cambra Cutz works with that wind instead of against it — mowing in long clean passes, edging the walk until the line sits sharp against coral-white concrete, trimming close where the fence posts and the hose bib get in the way. Clippings end up where clippings belong, not in the street and not on the neighbor's driveway. This is lawn keeping on the windward flat of the isthmus, where grass runs fast and salt rides in on the air all day. What's left behind is a yard that plainly shows someone paid attention to it.
