About ‘Āina Sculptures Landscaping & Maintenance LLC

The trade wind crosses the isthmus most mornings, funneled between Haleakalā and the West Maui Mountains, and it reaches a Kahului yard with its mind already made up. ʻĀina Sculptures Landscaping & Maintenance LLC mows and edges into that wind, laying down lines that hold their shape while the grass is still leaning sideways. Summer here is a long bright stretch of fast growth and dust off the old cane ground; the winter rain comes down out of the valley behind Wailuku and turns everything green again in about a week. The crew keeps the borders crisp along walks and driveways, the weeds out of the beds, and the clippings hauled off before the afternoon heat settles over the harbor. From the flats near Kanahā Pond to the yards climbing toward Waiehu, the result is the plain kind you can read from the street: a lawn that looks tended, edge to edge.
