About One Two Tree Care LLC

South Kona falls steeply from the Māmalahoa Highway to the water, and Hōnaunau's lanes drop through coffee and macadamia to the bay beside Puʻuhonua o Hōnaunau, where the tide pools go bright at sunrise. One Two Tree Care LLC works that mauka-to-makai slope, trimming trees that gain height quickly in warm rain and then lean downhill for the rest of their lives. Pruning here opens a canopy to the morning sun without stripping away the shade a house depends on by noon. When a tree has to go — root-lifted, storm-split, crowding a wall — it is dismantled from the top on ground that offers nowhere flat to stand. After a hard blow, fallen limbs are cut, stacked and trucked out from Hōnaunau through Captain Cook and Hoʻokena, and the drive is open by the end of the day.
