Kūpono Care

About Kūpono Care

Kūpono means upright, and on a mountainside where every yard tilts, that is a useful idea to carry. Kūpono Care mows, trims and edges lawns across Holualoa — from the cooler lots up under the coffee to the warm ones dropping toward the water — and clears the green waste once the cutting is done. Slope work asks for patience, since you follow the contour instead of fighting it. Afternoons bring a soft gray light off the mountain and the smell of cut grass drifting downhill. The finished yard reads level to the eye, even where the ground refuses to be.
