About Silva's lawn & landscaping

North of Hilo the highway dips through gulch after gulch and past the old sugar towns — Papaʻikou, Honomū — where the rain comes hard and the grass answers immediately. Silva's lawn & landscaping runs that route and back into town: mowing, edging along sidewalks and drives, string trimming the corners, shaping hedges, and clearing off the cuttings. A sidewalk edge cut true is a small thing that changes how a whole house sits on its lot. The work goes on in drizzle as often as not, because waiting for dry weather here means waiting a long while. By the time the light turns orange over the water, the yards on the list are done.
