About Bell's Roots 2 Roof LLC

Kaūmana Drive climbs until the clouds arrive at eye level and the houses stand on old lava wearing a thin, stubborn skin of green. Bell's Roots 2 Roof LLC keeps those upslope yards in order — mowing, edging, trimming back the hedges and ferns that lean over a driveway, and carrying the cuttings away. Up here growth is a partnership with the rain, so the trick is returning before the hāpuʻu decides the lawn belongs to it. Evenings smell of wet ʻōhiʻa and fresh clippings at the same time. A yard closed out just before dark, with the lights of Hilo spread below it, is the sort of finish worth the drive up.
