About Aikane Nursery & Landscaping, LLC

Morning arrives in Hāwī from the mountain side first, easing down the pastures along Kohala Mountain Road while the ironwoods still hold the night's mist in their needles. That is the hour Aikane Nursery & Landscaping likes best for mowing: grass heavy with dew, the cut coming off clean, long even rows lying down behind the machine before the day warms through. Rain is generous on this slope and the lawns answer quickly, so the work stays steady — a regular mow, edges cut sharp against walkway and drive, the string trimmer working post, stone and fence line until every border reads straight. There is a plain and lasting satisfaction in standing at the gate of a finished yard, the green squared away, the clippings carried off, nothing left but a lawn that looks looked-after. They keep it that way in Hāwī, Kapaʻau, Hālaʻula and the upcountry lots strung along the mountain road.
