Hilo Helpers

About Hilo Helpers

Hilo mornings arrive soft, the bay flat as poured glass and an arc of color standing over the water while downtown wakes up. Hilo Helpers carries that easy start down the highway into Hawaiian Paradise Park, where the lots run to the acre and the grass keeps its own schedule. Mowing, trimming, brush cutting, raking and hauling: the plain list that turns a wild acre back into a yard someone can use. Handing a lot back tidy is the reward, straight lines across the grass and bare cinder where the pile used to sit. Hilo Helpers works out of Hilo through Keaʻau and into Hawaiian Paradise Park.
