Late afternoon on the Hana side, the light comes in sideways off the water and the hala trees near Waiʻānapanapa throw long spiked shadows. Island Tree Style keeps yards standing up to that landscape — lawn mowing, trimming, edging around drives and walkways, cutting back overgrowth and taking the debris away. A yard out here is carved from forest, and it stays a yard only because somebody keeps carving. The reward is the moment the mower shuts off and the property has edges again, the black-rock coast visible through the trimmed gap. Then the evening rain moves up the valley and waters everything you just cut.
