Down South Landscaping

About Down South Landscaping

The soil around Wrens turns sandy where the Piedmont gives out and the coastal plain takes over, and grass in ground like that wants a keeper who knows it. Down South Landscaping is out on the yards off Highway 1 early, mowing while the morning is still bearable and the pines are shedding straw onto everything below them. The work is mowing, trimming, edging, and pulling a yard back from the pine litter that falls twelve months a year in Jefferson County. Come afternoon the light lies flat and white across the fields, and a lawn cut that morning holds its lines clean on into evening. There's pride in that — a straight edge at the mailbox, a walk swept bare, a yard that looks like somebody is paying attention.
