Greener Lawns

About Greener Lawns

Winterville lawns spend the winter the color of straw, and then one warm week in April the green comes up from underneath all at once, like the yard had been holding its breath. Greener Lawns works for that moment and everything after it — mowing on a rhythm that keeps the turf thick, edging so the grass stops exactly where it should, trimming the strips a mower cannot square up. Clippings come off the drive and walk every time, because a finished cut ought to look finished from the street. When the pecans and oaks drop in late fall, the leaves get cleared so light and air reach the grass through the mild months. The route runs across Winterville and out to the nearby towns.
