Below Whitesburg the Chattahoochee swings wide past the bluffs at McIntosh Reserve, and in high summer the whole valley holds heat like a closed hand. Carroll County grass in July will take a yard back in about ten days if nobody is watching it. Arriving first, every week, is most of the job right there.
