Basic Lawn Care Company

About Basic Lawn Care Company

Warthen was Washington County's first settlement, and its hand-hewn log jail still stands in the village as a reminder of how long people have made a home here. Each spring, once the warm days arrive, the yards around the village thicken almost overnight. Basic Lawn Care Company keeps pace with long, steady mowing passes, edging where grass reaches over onto the walks, and close trimming around porch steps and garden beds. Come late afternoon, with the light slanting low and gold across the grass, the finished lawn sits square and even, every border crisp. In a village this mindful of its past, a well-kept lawn feels like a small way of honoring it.
