The name is one word. So is the work: a lawn, cut right, on a Saturday afternoon in Vinings when the pin oaks throw enough shade to make the job bearable. Mowing first, then the edge along the drive, then the trimmer where a deck cannot reach, then every blade cleared off the concrete. West of the Chattahoochee the ground rolls just enough that a straight line is something you have to earn. What is left at the end is plain and good — a yard that reads cared for from the road.
