The courthouse sits over downtown with Patterson Street running past it, and from that corner Valdosta spreads out in every direction into neighborhoods that all seem to need cutting the same week. Valdosta Lawn Care runs that map — weekly and biweekly mowing, edging along drives and sidewalks, string trimming around posts and beds, and blowing every hard surface off before the truck pulls away. Houses, rental properties and business frontages share the same routes, north Valdosta down to the south side. The season here is long and forgives almost nothing; a yard skipped in June announces it from the road. Carrying the town's name means the yards have to look the part, so every stop gets finished as if somebody were watching from the porch.
