About Moses Grass Company

In Uvalda the Altamaha does most of the deciding — how thick the fog lies over the bottoms at daybreak, how quickly sandy ground drains after a hard rain, how early the green comes on. Moses Grass Company works that river country: cutting grass on a steady rotation, mowing lots and open ground, edging drives and walks, trimming along fence lines and around outbuildings, and clearing the yard debris away. Out past the pines the onion fields run flat to the horizon, and the growing season down here is long and forgiving to anything with roots, lawns included. There is real pride in a yard left level and clean through the heat of a Montgomery County afternoon. The work just follows the river's own calendar.
