Winter is gentle on Tybee, and the strangest, best part of it comes in late February when the live oaks let go of last year's leaves all at once. Land Co Landscaping plans for that shower — cleanups scheduled right through the mild months, hauling off leaf drop while the rest of the country is still frozen. The rest of the year runs on mowing, edging and trimming, plus mulch and bed work to hold the plantings through the heat. Island properties don't get much dormancy, so the calendar barely pauses. What stays constant is the finish: beds defined, borders cut clean, and nothing left on the pavement.
