About Hammond LLC

January turns Upson County lawns the color of straw, and that is exactly when the bones of a place show. Hammond LLC works the cool months out on the Hannah's Mill side of Thomaston, shaping hedges and shrubs while the branching is still visible, carrying off the last of the leaves, cutting beds back to a clean border in ground gone hard with cold. Dormant grass still wants a pass when winter weeds push up, and an edge cut now is an edge that greets March already sharp. The work goes unhurried under thin pale light, with woodsmoke drifting from a chimney somewhere down the road. Come spring the yard wakes up already dressed for it.
