Grass in this part of Gwinnett keeps two calendars. Bermuda and zoysia run hard from May into September and then go the color of straw; fescue wakes up in October and carries green straight through a mild Georgia winter. All Turf works to both clocks — mowing each lawn at the height it actually wants, edging, trimming, clearing the walks, then aerating and overseeding in autumn when the soil is still warm and the air has finally quit. Fertilization and weed control follow the same rhythm, timed to the turf instead of to a page on the wall. There is a real pleasure in a stand of grass so even it reads like fabric from the road.
