One on One Lawn and Garden

About One on One Lawn and Garden

January in Statesboro is not a dead month — camellias open in the cold near the Georgia Southern botanical grounds, and the beds around town keep their shape while the rest of the country waits for spring. One on One Lawn and Garden takes properties the way the name says: one yard, one set of beds, one homeowner at a time. The work runs from mowing and edging through hedge and shrub trimming, mulch turned fresh in the beds, and the seasonal cleanups that clear a garden back down to its bones. There is a particular pleasure in a bed line cut sharp against green, holding its curve month after month the way a drawn line holds. Around Statesboro, Brooklet and Register, the same hands come back, and after a while the yard seems to expect them.
