Late winter is when a yard shows you everything it has been hiding — limbs down along the fence, straw matted in the beds, a season of leaves piled in the corners where the wind put them. Lewis Lawn Care & More does that reckoning: cleanups and hauling, beds cleared and re-strawed, hedges cut back, and then the mowing, edging and trimming once Bulloch County wakes back up in March. Out toward the county line the ponds sit flat and gray in February, and the whole landscape seems to be waiting on a cue. Doing the unglamorous work then is what makes the spring look effortless. The "more" covers a lot of ground, and most of it happens before anyone is watching.
