August in Senoia is loud with cicadas, and everything green is trying to take another foot of ground before the season turns. BRUSH BULLY meets that in the plain way — mow it down, trim the ragged margins, run the edger until the driveway has a real border again, then clear the whole lot of cuttings. There is honest satisfaction in ground that was shaggy at nine and squared off by noon. Out toward the pastures on the Turin side the yards run big and the mowing is a morning's ride; in town the work is closer and tighter, more about the trim line than the miles. Both end the same way, with the place looking tended.
