Lawn Teacher

About Lawn Teacher

Evening along the Vernon River is the reason people put up with Savannah summers — water going pewter, the smell of pluff mud, a breeze arriving right when you had given up on it. Lawn Teacher finishes the day in that light, the last yard mowed and trimmed and the edges cut in clean where lawn meets shell drive. The work itself is plain and repeatable: regular cutting, string trimming, edging, hedges kept in bounds, clippings gone. Done on a rhythm, it teaches a lawn what shape to hold. Savannah's southside and the neighborhoods along the tidal rivers are where the truck spends its weeks.
