About Barrett Landscaping

Savannah does its gardening in public, across twenty-two squares shaded by live oaks and draped in Spanish moss, and the private yards behind its iron gates aim to keep pace. Barrett Landscaping brings landscape work to this coastal city, from beds planted against old brick to lawns that open out under the oaks. Spring lands in a rush of azaleas, when whole blocks seem dipped in pink and white. Then the salt-edged heat of summer settles over the marsh and the river, and a landscape has to be laid out to hold its shape through it. When an evening breeze finally drifts in off the water, a well-tended Savannah garden is the place to feel it.
