About T-Ray Services

Richland sits in Stewart County where the soil runs red-orange and the gullies cut deep out toward the canyon country west of town. T-Ray Services works the late-summer evenings here, when the heat lets go around seven and a mower can finish a yard in decent air. The work is mowing, edging, trimming and hauling off what a yard has dropped, steady and unshowy and visible from the road the moment it is done. Grass grows stubborn in this clay, and it takes a schedule rather than a heroic weekend to keep a lawn even. By dark the yards along the old rail line stand level and true, and that is the whole measure of the day.
