Absolute Landscape

About Absolute Landscape

Morning haze lifts off the coves of Lake Lanier and slides inland over Oakwood, and for an hour everything smells like water and pine. Absolute Landscape starts in that cool, cutting the lakeside-adjacent yards while the grass is firm and the day still has its manners. Hall County ground rolls, so mowing here means working with the grade — long passes across the fall of the land, edges finished by hand where the slope tightens. There is a plain pleasure in stepping back from a property that has been cut, edged, trimmed and cleared: nothing left to fix, nothing sticking out. Week by week through the growing season, that is the whole ambition.
