A June evening in Nicholson is not a long list of places. A crossroads, a ball field, a few streets of houses, then pasture and pine in every direction. J&C Dreamscape LLC mows those streets and the drives that run off them, edging clean along concrete, trimming the corners a mower cannot reach, and clearing every scrap of cut grass before leaving. Out here a lawn is the front page of a house, and the difference between shaggy and struck-straight is visible from the stop sign. The work runs from the first green push of spring through the humid weeks when growth will not quit, then eases into leaf season. Nothing complicated about it, just a yard handed back looking better than it was found.
